If they're painted on its gonna be a hassle. Mine were and my family friend sanded them down and used a solution to clean it up and it looks factory.Click image for larger version

Usually they'll have to paint it again which is very expensive. Click image for larger version

What I would recommend doing is getting black vinyl stripes from AM and just overlapping them the existing ones

If they peel off you'll have to hear them up with a hairdryer or something. But if you don't want to risk it I highly suggest going on AM. The stripes are cheap and look good.

However, I bought them awhile back and put them over my blue ones. When I was sick of the look and peeled them off, it took some of the blue off with it and I looked awful lol

Go to Oreily's or autozone and get you a can of Turtle Wax Label & Sticker Remover. Used it to take off my side stripes with easeClick image for larger version

I parked mine where that side was in the sun for 10 minutes and it peeled off EZ-PZ.

Cannot see where stripes were on mine and it was nine years old when they were removed. Modern paints do not fade like the old stuff did.
