For the amount of money you spend on the x charger. You can buy the on3 kit and build the motor and take care of suspension.
A
Or spend the 6k on the blower and have 250 -270hp

No Brainer on which is the better option

Every one I have seen was in that range at the tires.

But power means nothing, there was one running around in SA awhile back with the x charger and full exhaust. Made 285 I believe. Not impressed, when he could have taken that money and had 400+

From what I know the X Charger kit for the 4.0 V6 Mustang is just an underperforming Eaton blower kit pieced together by a company that makes parts/kit for the Ford Ranger/Explorer.

It definitely seems overpriced when you could by a much more efficient turbo kit for 1/3 of the price of the X Charger kit.

And no its not, a 4.0 with a x charger is a brick and will sink just like one

Xcharger will not give you a big dyno sheet to brag about, that is true.

But I loved my Xcharger Xtreme on my 2006 convertible. It put the heavy convertible into the mid 12's no problem. Wasn't as quick as my friends Powerhouse turbo, but he had to run me down because the XCharger got me out of the hole much quicker.

That car had 203,000 miles on it when I sold it, and was still running mid 12's.

On3 turbo... Worth it in y'all's opinion or save the money for mods on a new mustang? I may be getting a 5.0 in a few years. Does anybody know any close estimations on what kind of power the kit puts down?

Save the money for a better platform. The 05-10 V6 Mustangs are not performance cars.

Just because they are not on the same level as the modern mustangs doesn't mean they aren't performance cars....by that statement nothing other than the latest and greatest is a performance car

Don't even bother modding it. Save up for a 16 or 17 model Mustang. It'll be worth it considering it will probably be more improved than the 15/16 model. It'll be a far better platform than our 4.0's

You're right, I am comparing the 4.0 and the 3.7. But if you want to compare age for age, look at the 02-07 Nissan G35.

The 4.0 mustangs were a performance car....now as to how good of one, that's the more appropriate topic here lol
