I need some stang advice!

Hi im new on here and I have a 05 v6 mustang that I love everything about but the miles! It has a full pypes exhaust to the header which sounds awesome, it's a manual and it already has everyhing I want like my rims but it has 235000 km which is a lot! Im trying to decide if it's worth keeping or if I should just sell it?Click image for larger version

In my humble opinion I absolutely love that look. The GT500 number looks amazing. With that many miles I would recommend doing an engine swap. Or just trade it in and get whatever you like.

If it was mine I would say it depends on how well the engine is still running. If you keep it would you be wanting to upgrade the performance? If so then yes I'd say upgrade and get a new car. Or engine swap. But she is a nice looking ride.

Im 16 so im I don't really have the money to sell mine and buy something more expensive so hopefully I get a good price on parts and maybe a engine swap will be possible. Does anyone know if there's much complication to switching a v8 into the v6 model?

You'll need a new tranny too. The T-5 won't work I don't think

I was gona do a 3V swap this summer and the car was totally trashed and the junk yard wanted $1500 for the motor. But the block had cracked in the wreck so that was a no go

+1, also try to get the entire car you'll need a lil more than just the motor & transmission for the swap.

Just go for the whole car and do a complete drive train swap that way you have all the fun of a GT with V6 insurance everything will bolt right up. All 05-09 Mustangs started out as the same shell so most things are easily interchangeable.

The VIN shows the same so as far as insurance rates they are looking at a V6.

switch that out to a 4.6 3v and a tremec 3650 and you got yourself a car that will see you through college, easily. Looks nice too.

And i forgot, do you guys have the 8.8 rear end in the 05+ or is it still the 7.something inch? if not, you can do that later. beef it up to handle more power.

The VIN number is what insurance goes off of unless you tell them what you've done.

Mines an 02. Frames just fine. All you gotta worry about is bushings and suspension. Id do the motor first. You dont wanna fix the suspension and then last minute decide not to motor swap.

Shocks, control arm bushing, tie rods, ball joints, rear control arm bushings or control arms all together, motor mounts, maybe u-joints. Then your car will feel new again.
