hood pins

what exactly is the point for a hood pin? they look badass though. I'm new to mustangs. sorry!

Secondary if your hood latch fails. But on really only for looks. I have them on mine and the cable is attached to the underside of the hood. Lol. Cosmetic only for me.

If your latch don't work they can keep your hood closed also good for high speed cars and show cars

They are so your hood doesn't fly up at high speeds. Don't want a hood to the windshield while your driving.

Real hood pins are usually drilled through the hood. However, for a aesthetics, they make them with 3M tape on the backside

On a fiberglass hood u can get a lot of hood shake. That is the only reason i put them on mine. Plus they do look good.

As for the 99-04 the hoods are made of a composite material and I don't know about you but I've seen a hood latch fail under high speeds. So I fixed that problem before it will ever happen.

And your right they do look good
