My stepdad wants to race me. he has a 103 harley Streetglyde and I have a 2005 v6 mustang all stock. he wants to race title for title. there has to be something I'm missing. please help! is it an even race? who has the advantage? is there any factors I'm missing?

Ok why would you race title for title with your step dad? And what year is the Harley? A quick google search shows around 75 hp to the wheels. Your car has around 180 and he weighs a fraction so he would probable win. Although a lot depends on what kind of race too and driving capabilities, etc.

I have no idea. he just offered it. but it's a 2011, all stock harley. it's only going to be MAYBE a quarter mile. so not a very long race!

Don't do it bro, our cars just aren't that fast. I ran my car for laughs and my best time was like 15.2, and my car is pretty much stock. If you have an auto with a tune and all bolt-on's with a suspension set up for traction you MIGHT have a chance.

My personal advice to you

Don't race him
Just say you know how fast his bike is and how much you admire him for asking you to race him but NO is the answer.

Just let him know you enjoy your Mustang and you don't race anybody or really care too.
Going to the drag strip should be "JUST FOR FUN" and not worrying about winning unless you are a professional drag racer.

If he really knows his bike, he will rape you without trying!.. I've ran my '04 GT against several Harley's, both stock and modded, and they keep up pretty good!..

I had a 2013 wide glide. Had the 103 motor. It ran pretty dang good I must say so I would say he would have his way with you pretty easily. I don't have the bike anymore though.

Think you would not get the win in a 1/4 mile. Power to weight ratio is in his favor. That's why in a cage, you will lose against most bikes.
