New Rear Axle Assy.

So I picked up an 8.8 this weekend for quite the steal and it's rather rusty, but seems to be in working order. Any ideas on how I should approach the refinishing? Like have it sand blasted and powdercoated or will rust converter work just fine? Any affordable ideas would be helpful. Thanks!
