Help! No power to the wheels

I own a 2010 V6 Base Model.
Yesterday I was driving back home from work and when I was I noticed I was losing speed and thought that was odd so I turned off cruise control thinking maybe my cruise had gone bad. When I did I gave it some gas and still no power. Panicked I down shifted to 4th thinking maybe my 5th gear just went out and still no power, and at this point I was doing 45 in 75... as you probably know I was getting a little nervous... So I pulled over and stopped now knowing something must be wrong and I turned the car off and then went back into 1st to try and get back home. Nothing. I had no power to my wheels. I had to pay to get my car towed back home. I was just wondering if someone can help me out. Do you guys think my clutch just went out or could it be something like the linkage?
Thanks Nathan.

If clutch was out you would have still had power I believe. Flashing od light or a check engine light at all?

Nope. None of my lights came on.
I thought that about the clutch as well, but I wasn't entirely sure.

I know a way to test a bad clutch is to put it into gear rev and let it out and if it just goes and doesn't sputter the clutch is bad.

How high should I rev it?
I kinda tried that before and got nothing out of it. I wasn't revving it that high though maybe 1500 to 2000. Just like you normally would for a start in a manual car.

Not at the moment. I don't have anyone that could help me do a push start.
I have also tried reverse and that gear doesn't work either which is leading me to think more and more that this could be the shifter linkage.

Cause I know I broke my torque converter and was pushing my car to the parking lot in R but going forward. The rpms would raise but car would stay put in any gear.

Ive a 2010 v6 auto but could be converter, If won't go into any gear.

How much was the converter to repair?

I finally was able to get my car into the shop after all the bad weather we've been having here and they told me it was the clutch that went out... no exactly what I was hoping for, but it could be worse!
