Its all about what you want too hear bro there is no best in sound... material quality and construction is a different subject and question.

As for sound, i prefer SLP'S n Off-road H pipe but some have different taste

Tough question. What are your goals? What do you want to hear?

I'd suggest going with dumps before the axles if you want that drone inside the cabin. X pipe sounds louder and raspier. As if the car is screaming, haha. And H pipes have a deeper rumble of a tone.

The pypes violators are loud in the cabin and have a nice sound on the road. I'd gladly work you a deal on mine. They're a bit loud for me.

Any ideas for deep sounding exhaust for a 4.0 V6 without going too loud? I'm looking for something that's well within 50 state limits.

That uses a y-pipe. Is the concern that true dual would be too loud? Yep, I'm a newbie

It y's off of your factory y. I don't think it would be too loud. You could always just get a single axleback muffler

Get a custom fabbed h pipe. It's so worth it. My shop charged $270 for custom fabbed h pipe and installing dual mufflers and over axles. I love the sound of mine and flowmasters
