help please?

So i have a 2005 V6. on acceleration there is a very noticeable ticking that sounds like its coming from the driver side of the engine. as i go faster so does the ticking and it also gets a tad louder or at least seems to. its also there on idle very slightly. my guess is and exhaust leak. am i right? if so what would it take to get it fixed?

It could an exhaust leak, but have you recently changed your spark plugs?

Not that I'm aware of. I replaced the engine in roughly September. And that's when the ticking started. I'm not sure how new the sparks are compared to the engine.

One time I changed my spark plugs and cross threaded one of the holes and that cause a ticking noise that drove me insane. I would just take it to a shop honestly. I spent 5 months trying to figure out my noise and spent over 200 bucks in parts like new wires, new plugs, all sorts of stuff. You won't a king your car to a trusted mechanic.
