Thermostat Housing

I have a pretty bad antifreeze leak and the mechanic told me it was the thermostat housing and it would be 300 to fix. He said i could do it myself pretty easily. Im going to order a kit does anyone know if this will be everything i need

Thermostat Housing 2L2Z-8592-BA

* Thermostat 2L2Z-8575-AA

* Connector Housing 5R3Z-8592-BA

* Gasket 1L2Z-8255-AA

* O-ring W702837-S300

* O-ring 16465

Yep that sounds about right. And yeah it's a simple fix, if you get lost just YouTube it because I'm sure it's on there.

careful when tightening the screws, often split and is a big problem

A thermostat housing for that car should cost no more than $40 and it's a simple job with basic hand tools. Not worth spending $300. My advice is to look for the upgraded housing, the ones that Ford makes are known to crack. It happened twice with my 05 v6.

It's pretty easy, I bought the pieces required to fix it and total cost was $65 for the upper and lower thermostat housing plus the sensor, then about 2 hours of personal labor to do, it's not a challenge at all, good luck
