How well would a 2010 v6 keep up with a 2011v6?

Lol about 100 horsepower is the difference.

The 2011+ V6 will even take 2010 GTs.

Let Me bounce this one off your Cranium.
My Mustang and Explorer are both 2007 models w/ 4.0s.
Is there a difference in those?

Basic stuff like the intake is a little different. I believe the cams and heads are the same.

Actually I believe the explorer 4.0 was rated at 254tq...I've been looking at that intake swap somewhat

Just thinking out loud here.
How difficult would it be to swap out the 4.0 for the 3.7 ?
I mean it's not for Me but I just looked up the HP for the 4.6 and it is the same as the 3.7.

Yeah like Great Recon said, just sell it. The amount of work and money you would put into it, will never reflect on the value of the car.

This.

Unfortunately it's not like the old days where you could just drop in an engine.

You'll save yourself time, frustration and money.

I got My Vert knowing full well what was under the hood.
She's a cruiser not a track star..lol.
I'll spend My money on Bling instead of go fast parts.

If you're going to go through the pain and frustration of doing a swap, this is the one to do.
