Brake pedal

Whenever I press the brake pedal down it makes this loud creaking sound that drives me insane and my passengers always point it out. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Yeah I believe I know what your talking about, my front brakes make the same noise when you push the pedal down. I went to my mustang club meeting less then a week ago. The suggestion I got was to replace the pads first, it's probably the problem. I haven't done it yet so I don't know.
