Tune

Does anyone know if you can use the SCT tuner to get a ghost cam tune to sound like you have a cam?

Yeah the engine would have to have computer controlled variable cam timing and the 4.0 does not

That's correct - They had this about a year or so ago but their new lead wanted to have it taken offline to make some new tweaks. This should be back for he Coyote around fall.

For the record they're not the only guys out there that have a Ghost Cam tune, take a look around.

Not easily done with a 2010 cause it's a SOHC The 2011 is a 3.7L DOHC and that's why they can do the ghost cam tune and we cant

Are the ghost can tunes healthy for the engines? Because I've always thought it might be a little rough on it

Good question and there's tons of shops out there that offer this and they're bullet proof. I've personally never seen of an issue arise after a cam-tune being run.

If you don't mind, could you explain how the tune works a little as far as timing and air/fuel ratio? Is it a Tune that someone could run day to day? And does the tune add power?
