2010 Auto V6 Backend Knock

So I have searched high and low through the forums and haven't seen anyone bring up the issue yet. I have a 2010 4.0, very lightly modded and recently have run into an issue with the car rev'ing high to clear 2nd gear then a knock from the back end when it goes into gear. Recently (1 week prior) treated the car with "Lucas upper cylinder lubricant". The issue lasted a full day and maintenance light was visible, got back in the car the next day and the issue resolved itself. Beyond a few spirited street pulls I drive the vehicle without putting much wear or stress on the engine. Anyone have a clue what this may have been?

*was advised to turn off o/d and traction* issue resolved before these measures were taken.*

So you are shifting at a high RPM when changing gears AND then you hear the sound? Have you checked your driveshaft for play? How many miles do you have? Have you checked your differential and trans fluids?

The car is going into higher RPM before changing gears, and after the transmission goes into gear the sound occurs. Haven't checked for any play in the driveshaft. But I did read where the the lucas lubricant could cause certain fittings to swell and crack causing different issues. The milage is right around 55,000 and the trans fluid on the 2010 v6 is capped and cannot be checked conventionally. Problem somewhat resolved itself I've been driving cautiously and have only had it occur once since the first instance. Trying to get to Ford for them to take a look but work has been keeping me busy.

Wait, so when you say backend, are you referring to the backend of the engine bay area or of the entire car itself?

Backend of the car itself, almost sounds like something is slamming in the trunk.

Have you tried having a friend drive next to you so they can try to hear it? Or have someone drive your car and you drive next to it in another car?
