Muffler questions

I have an 05 v6, i want to change the muffler on it so it can sound better. Will a 05-09 gt muffler be a direct bolt on?

I think it may have a larger diameter pipe on the GT muffler side but that should be something very easy for a muffler shop to fix or it may not even take modification to work. Maybe someone will pitch in that knows for sure

Muffler questions

Is your exhaust system stock and do you have the stock V6 bumper?

Then you'll have to either change the exhaust tip on the muffler or cut the bumper. Still depends on if both cars have the same diameter exhaust pipe.

Muffler questions

Most likely but the exhaust tip is what you'll need to find out about.

I think it'll be a good idea when you decide to put the other GT axelback on to true dual your car.

Muffler questions

Negative. S550's have IRS; you have a live axel. Different designed piping. You have over axel piping; IRS cars have under axel piping.

Best thing to do bud imo is go on AM site and listen to some sound clips and c what ur like. U might want even throw some axle backs as well. Ppl can tell u what setup they have on theirs and how much they like it but it's nice to hear for urself. I have roush and it has nice raspiness to it and to me it is the shiznet. I'm sure a lot of ppl would agree but not everyone.

Not sure if this has been covered but it will stick out about a good 3 inches. Saw it yesterday in person actually.
