Has anyone installed the SLP POWER-FLO AXLE-BACK EXHAUST (05-10 V6) from American Muscle? If so, how was the outcome?

Hey Michaelg44,

It's a pretty solid contender if you're looking to make a little more noise. The install is fairly easy and it's very well received around here along with having a slew of great reviews.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help.

I read a review on AM's site where it says it sounds like it should belong to a Civic, that kind of got my hopes down on this unit. What do you think of it?

Michaelg44 - My apologies for the delay. Lot's of guys tend to think that any exhaust on the V6 will turn it into something that's more raspy than it needs to be. We'll post positive and negative reviews on our systems and having heard many, many styles and setups over the years I don't think it's that bad.

If you're to compare it to a "muffler-delete" then I would say Civic-ish,) (If honda had a 6cyl in a civic)

In all seriousness if you're concerned about excess feedback (snap, crackle, popping from the exhaust) I would suggest taking a look into a chambered style axle-back such as Flowmaster. With their muffler constructing (most if not all have a delta flow inside) that will prevent the unwanted rasp/feedback.

Let me know if you if you have any other questions and I'm here to help and check out the Flowmaster AmericanThunder while you're at it!

I was actually looking at buying the slp too bc I had the flowmaster and it's really nice but I want a different sound. Sound clips on it sound pretty good.

Yeah but it's really pricey. I personally would want borlas on a GT.

Thanks for the advice. I dont want something loud, just something that has a nice deep sound to it and is well made.

I'm just saying you can't say something is necessarily better when you haven't had any. Not trying to cause trouble
