Short Throw Shifters for '06 V6?

this is from Americanmuscle.com, and says its for the GT, but both V6 and GT's are 5-speeds, so will the Hurst Competition Plus or Hurst Billet Competition plus shifter fit any V6? if not, is there any out there that will reduce the throw by about 40%?

Short Throw Shifters for '06 V6?

Sweet. You should go to the cars and coffee in Franklin, sometime. I'd like to see it. I'm about an hour north of Nashville. Several of us, up here, go to that event. Plus it's always a really good turnout. Lots of awesome cars.

If this works out, I'll see you there. my friend told me things about the 4.0's having a bad rep. Something about they blow head gaskets and ruining heads. is this true? and what are the pros and cons of the 4.0's in your opinion.

Pro of the 4.0 is you get into a S197 chassis for cheap. That's about it...

I just received my short shifter for my 07 4.0 from https://www.mgwshifters.com/ . I have heard a lot of good things about this shifter so I am really stoked! Installing on Tuesday and I will keep you updated.
