LSD or 8.8 GT takeoff

Is it worth getting a Limited slip differential or should I just look for an 8.8 off a GT?

Just get the 8.8, stronger and easy swap. Worst modding decision I ever made was to try to build a 7.5 - after paying for the gears, tlok, install it cost me more than it cost to swap the 8.8 to the car after breaking the 7.5 with just a tune, CAI, and drag radials.

Thank you, after reading that I'm glad I didn't throw out the money yet.

Does you know where I can pick up an 8.8? I know new takeoff used to sell them but no longer part of their inventory.

Because I am fairly new to dealing with changing out a rear end what should I be looking for when I go look at it? Anything specific?/ anything that should be a deal breaker?
