V6 Mods

I just purchased my first Mustang- 2010 V6 4.0L. I absolutely love it. BUT, I'm debating which mod to install first... cold air intake / tuner or dual exhaust? I want a performance boost but also want it to sound beastly (for a V6 that is). I also just bought Lemans racing stripes-haven't applied them yet though. How tricky is it to apply them? My fear is that they will come out crooked. Should I have them applied at a shop just to be safe? Any suggestions for a noobie would be greatly appreciated!

Get a tune and a dual exhaust. Assuming you will be doing headers all the way back to the mufflers. Don't waste your time with an "intake".

Lumina,

I would start with exhaust then get a tune to take advantage of it. I've never done stripes but unless you are good at that type of stuff (think wrapping/wallpaper) get help from a buddy who's done it b4.

even more important check out the regional forum or:

New England Spring Cruise 2016!

I've got a cruise coming up this wknd and you can meet locals and have fun. Welcome to Mevo

Thank you guys for the input, I appreciate it!

Mud, the cruise sounds like a blast! How often do you guys do them? Unfortunately I have plans this weekend so I won't be able to make it. Maybe I can make the next one :O

Do you know of any reputable auto body shops in the greater Danbury CT area that you would recommend having my modding done at?
Thanks!

On a 6 I wouldn't do an x. Also cai have a little more benefit on this generation than the next generation in my opinion.

I have an H pipe on mine and I love it. For me the X pipe has too much rasp.

From the vids I've seen both sound sweet but I think I favor the H pipes over X.
