It vibrates at high speeds I think around 85.

If you already have a tuner then you just have to go to tune and tell it to modify it. Then select gears and change ratio.

Just google your tuner model.

When I switched from stock 2.73 to 3.55 it was about 20mph difference.

If it's like mine then you would program it and when you select it, it will ask if you would like to modify it. That's when you select your gears.

You may have but the driveshaft is pretty sturdy in regards to get bumped and bruised. You are probably experiencing the vibrations from the driveshaft moving at a higher RPM than normal for longer periods of time. I would recommend getting an aluminum driveshaft to accommodate the higher RPM. That will be the route I will take when I get to gears. Did you get the kit from Ebay? How was it? I was going to get the LSD and gears from AM but, its over $600 for the LSD and gears alone (not including the bearing kit and oil). Gears is going to cost and pretty penny but, I know it will be worth it.

Yeah, I got the kit from eBay its the same one from the pic I had in an earlier post in this thread. It actually is pretty quiet until I hit 75-76 then it sounds like there a ghost in the car but if I go faster then the sound goes away. The acceleration is pretty awesome. The gears you get are USA Standard gears the installer said they are harder and less forgiving than maybe ford racing which might be quieter. Honestly if I take care of the driveshaft issue everything would be perfect.

Well, got my speedo calibrated. Bama sent me new tunes and this time the modify option came up even though I didn't need it. I think I have an addiction to modding. I'm so tempted to drop 5k and get a procharger, xcharger or a vortech for my stang. I wish I had a better job otherwise it would be go time!!

I thought going the turbo route but didn't like that I would be putting a whole new exhaust system again.

So, I'm thinking of installing the pacesetter longtube headers on my stang. I have the pypes true dual system with x pipe. Anyone know if I can use my existing x pipe and throw in some high flow cats ?

I'm not sure what X-pipe you had before, but with Long tubes you will probably need to change the pipe to a short X-pipe. Standard pipe size that goes with standard Exhaust and Shorty Headers with not fit on LT Headers. I had to get a shorty X pipe to fit.

Ok, wasn't totally sure. My x pipe is pypes as well I had seen with modification you could hook it up but I dont have a way to cut it. I plan on doing the install my self; the last estimate I got for install was 800 bucks.

For LT Headers you'll need a Shorty X-pipe. With LT Headers, the standard X pipe is too long. When I got the LT's I had to change the X pipe.

hello everyone i just found this site and it seems like a good one. its interesting hearing what you guys have done. my best upgrade to date is definitely the x charger. its the hi po not the extreme but I've got to say wow. its very worth it. i would love to add a lsd and 3:55 next but can't deciede weather to upgrade the 7.5 or up to the 8.8

Don't try building a 7.5, not worth it. It is cheaper to swap the stronger 8.8 to your car, and the low end torque of the Xcharger will break the 7.5.

All it took to break my built 7.5 was a tune and drag radials. The 8.8 swap was less than the cost of building the 7.5.

Thanks, that's kinda the way I'm leaning. I m worried about bolt pattern. I really like my wheels and I'm not sure if the 8.8 bolt patterns are the same and not really sure how to find out. Maybe someone on here will know other wise I'll have to do some checking.
