Story Time!
Alright, I own a 2010 V6 Mustang. I've had the car for around 2 years. The car was a gift from my grandparents for my 16th birthday and my brother revived a 2010 V6 Camaro as his gift. (Talk about the ultimate rivalry..) My mustang has a lot of sentimental value to it due to it being given to me from my grandparents. I've never been in any accidents in my two years of driving and I have taken very good care of the car.
There Is A Lot More To That Story, But Now To The Questions!
Okay, so I love the sound of my exhaust. But the one thing I hate, is that I can't go above like 2k RPM and it changes gears. So, would turning O/D off change the shiftpoints, allowing my car to change gears at a higher RPM? (Or am I completely missing something?)
I've also looked at a couple tuners that say they change the shiftpoints or have custom shiftpoints. But, my problem is that I can't really find certain parts for my mustang. Go to 2011 and you can find a lot of the parts that I'm looking for. I don't understand why there is a gap in parts for the 2010 compared to others. New model maybe? I don't really know.
Now To Sum This Up!
So basically what I'm asking is this.. Is there any way that I can change my shiftpoints in my 2010 V6 to get a little bit more out of my exhaust? Instad of going up to like 2K RPM and shifting to another gear, I'd like it to carry out through the gears. Maybe what I'm looking for is right in front of me and I have no idea.
Sorry for the huge amounts of text but, THANK YOU for your time! :thumb:
