Rear Diff Replacement needed due to drivetrain vibration

Hello All! I'm new to this group. I just picked up a 2005 Mustang Convertible V6 for my 40th birthday. It had 112,000 miles when I got it. I purchased it a dealership, one owner car, and they have been plugging away at a couple of things that were wrong. The most recent issue is that the car has a vibration in the drivetrain at highway speeds, from 60 - 75, and it goes away at 80. Drives very nice under 50.

Dealership says it needs a new rear diff. They have ordered the part and the repair is planned for next week. The dealership is covering all repairs still at this point.

What concerns should I have? What questions should I ask about the repair? Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

props to your dealer for working with you and congrats on the bday. Diff would not be my 1st guess in order:

wheel balance
aftermarket rims and not removing retaining clip (star washer one per wheel on lug)
driveshaft.

but they are there and I'm here...good luck.

also look in the regional forum..I run cruises in MA and CT next one will be in the fall in MA. stuff about them here

Summer Cruise 2017
