Tires

Hey all i hope someone can help me. I just ordered a V6 premium with the performance and it comes with 19" summer only tires! Any suggestions on all weather tires and where to buy them in the Chicagoland area without putting me in the poor house!!!
Thanks,
CABODAVE9

Re: Tires

Not sure if they'll do it, but when I picked up my 2011 with performance package, I had the dealer swap the tires out for all seasons. They had a gt on the lot with all season Nitto's on it. If you haven't put many miles on your Stang yet, I don't see why they wouldn't do that for you.

Re: Tires

I would buy some different cheap rims (take offs from another V6 for example) and use those in winter

I may try that! It's a small dealer but who knows, when my Stang comes in they may be able to switch them.

Re: Tires

the dealer wont swap rims with you, or ive never heard of one that would. Just spend 500 bucks on cheap wheels/tires for winter and put the summer ones back on when its nice out... thankfully I dont have to put up with any winter BS ha

My point is...I can't find any cheap tires for the car. I was going to garage the baby for the winter and still might if I can't find a solution.

Re: Tires

Tirerack.com has cheap tires and you can have them shipped to a discount tire store if im not mistaken. Then just take it on in for the swap.

My dealer didn't swap rims, just tires. It was a condition I made when I bought the car. Replace the summer tires with all seasons. They were happy to do it.

A side question, I ordered the performance pkg that comes with 19 inch summer tires. If you have a backup set for the winter do they have to be 19 inch as well? If not what are the size range you can use?
