So, I was planning on driving up to the dealership to talk to the service manager and performance guy face-to-face just to get the final word on what I could and couldn't do while still preserving warranty coverage. I work from home on Fridays; so, I put the dogs up and was ready to head up after traffic died down.
Mustang wasn't there. Wife's car was there though...along with my POS Honda.
Well, I texted my wife to ask her why she took my car to work and if there was anything wrong with hers. I also called the dealership to tell them that I guess there was no point in bringing my car up for a tech to ride in and show my issue with the hard downshift around 10mph when accelerating. I was going to just see if I could get a conference call with the service manager and performance installer; so, I left a message.
A few minutes later, the guy whom I had talked to yesterday to set all this stuff up and try to pump up the contrast on this gray area about warranty coverage called me back. He said he never lies to customers, and he just had to let me know that my car was up there right now getting worked on.
My wife took it up early this morning before work to surprise me with new gears for our 1 year anniversary! I have been talking her ear off about it lately; so, maybe this was just done out of self-preservation? Either way, I guess I still need to act surprised when she gets home with it later
