Yeah, I don't think they realize just how "out of reach" that is for most people.

Very nice car! I wish I had a warehouse full of parts to pick from, for free. Haha

Yeah if you have 10k.... I think I'm good with a CAI, delete mufflers and tune. (haven't got the tune yet) it is nice to see what the v6's are able to do and to give us ideas.

That's the main reason I take the time to read most articles.
Even if you can't do everything they did, you can always learn something.

Re: How to build a 400 RWHP V6 Mustang

Yeah, I think it's cool to see what they did with it. For me, I'd rather spend less money and have a tuned GT aftermarket exhaust and CAI and pocket the extra cash...or put it aside for speeding tickets.

Still, it is pretty darn impressive to see a V6 lay down that much power. I've got the gears, tune, and a CAI coming. Other than exhaust and MAYBE some suspension stuff down the road, I don't think I'll be dropping anymore money in this vehicle. It's already fun as hell to drive, and with another $1,400 or so in it after gears, tune, tint, and CAI, I can't justify a whole helluva lot more!

Yep - Amie wrote an article about it for Mustang Evolution - she also works for American Muscle.

No problem - great stuff - Probably cost way more than a GT after all the mods, though - but hey, it's only money.

Re: How to build a 400 RWHP V6 Mustang

It is impressive to be able to do that with the V6. It was one of my thoughts, spend the 10k to get a S/C and all the fixings to go along with it. Or just put that money towards a GT. Well, that's what I did I just traded the V6 in for a 5.0 and I'll start from there. And that 10k probably won't cover the appearance mods they did. There seemed to be some parts they talked about but didn't list and you have to account for that. And then are you doing the install or having someone else install the S/C. More cost...

If I walked into it knowing I'd want to do that, I'd buy the GT too. A S/C on it is just that much more powerful, and the GT already has the suspension upgrades and such.

I dunno...for me, it makes more sense to go the GT route if you're truly considering a S/C.
