Dealer approved mods

Hey, I got my 2011 v6 last January and I want to start modding it. I got an extended warranty when I got it so what can I do that won't void the warranty?

Re: Dealer approved mods

you really wont be able to do much without voiding the warranty just little things.. or appearance stuff.

Also FYI when someone tells you they have to proove that a mod you did caused the issue thats not true. The dealership can pretty much void your warranty for any reason they want

Re: Dealer approved mods

My dealership said gears and axle-back exhaust was perfectly fine, BUT you won't have those parts warrantied in your original or extended warranty.

What I was told by my dealership was that when they installed my gears, they were covered for 12 mos or 12,000 miles -- the greater of the two. If I had gotten them installed before taking possession of the car, it would've been 36 mos / 36,000 miles.

They will frown on a CAI and go ape sh*t over a tune. There is some debate as to whether disconnecting your battery and driving for 50 miles appropriately "erases the evidence" but that becomes a risk that you have to choose for yourself.
