Re: V6 Dyno

I haven't but was curious, I just bought my 2012 V6 6MT w/ PP. Did you notice a big difference with your airaid CAI and BAMA tune? That's what i want to do once I break about 2000 miles. Is the muffler delete just taking the mufflers off?

Yes... Really responsive. And after you hit 4k you really feel the power. I didn't think it would of change that much cuz of MT but you can tell. I took my mufflers off myself to hear it first then I took it to a shop to pipe it and add tips.

2011 Grabber Blue 3.7 6 speed with performance package
Kooks cat back 3" exhaust
75 dry shot nitrous

Dyno pull came out to 312 horses. Don't remember torque.

With the nitrous? That seems like a huge gain over stock for just exhaust...

Forgot to mention my tune on 93 octane from AM. I knew I was forgetting something.

---------- Post added at 05:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:39 PM ----------

And yeah, that was spraying.

Gotta love that tune!

I am running the 93 Hybrid right now, but I might step it back down to 87 Street. I don't think my MPG are any better, and the hard shifts are annoying in traffic.

I have to agree on the hard shift. I think I'm gonna back down to the 87 street as well.

Thats really low for spraying. You should be around 290 without spray with a tune and ehgaust

Maybe it wasn't a big shot? 260 at rear wheels seems about average for stock; so, I'd agree that roughly 290 with exhaust and tune sounds about right. So we're saying the nitrous added about 22?

My original question was when it was JUST exhaust that was taking the number to 312.

A 75 shot should get you at least 50 rwhp

Maybe his first bit was accurate then? Nitrous + exhaust = 312?

Is this an estimate or actual dyno numbers? I thought they were stock at 200hp...

210 at the crank so about 180 at rear wheels stock, right?

Ya for a 3.7 that's pretty low. I put down 293rwhp and 279rwtq with bolt ons and gears. So even a 75 dry should put you around 350ish at the tires. P.S. I put down those #s on a mustang dyno which are notoriously low.

What bolt-ons? Gears shouldn't give you anything extra, right?

Gears will not add hp or tq, but WILL get you into the powerband quicker.

With my stock 2.73 I could never do a full 4th gear pull so my #s were always low. Once I put in the 4.30,s I could do a proper 4th gear pull and found the #s that were realy there. Tune, intake, exhaust, o/r xpipe, gears, 3.5 alu DS, so a lot of bolt ons.

Sorry the reply took so long. It was on the 35 shot I believe. Not much at all. I've been traveling so much that I haven't had much time for my baby

That's makes perfect sense and makes the numbers spot on. Congrats I believe you might be the first person to spray a 3.7 don't hold me to it tho. I know that on the 4 different forum's I'm on there's 2 or3 people talking about spray but none have done it yet. P.S. just for giggles you should throw a 75 pill in there and realy wake her up.
