MPGs

Ok so I know we didn't buy Mustangs because we expected to get the gas mileage of a Focus but I have to say I think the mileage I'm getting is ****! In normal city/xway driving I average 15-16 mpg. I have a 2010 v6. And for the most part drive without having my foot in it the whole time. Anyone else getting mileage this low? Anyone getting better?

Re: MPGs

I have a 2011 V6 with BAMA 87P tune, Airaid CAI, and 3.73 gears, and I get about 20 MPG combined. I get around 24 or so on the highway.

You have to baby it to get 31 on the highway and good luck if you're going over 70

Not sure what the EPA estimate was/is on the 2010 though.

It's supposed to be 19/26. I guess that's in perfect driving conditions. Guess I was expecting the same mileage I got from my. 2001.

In my '12 I average 27 combined driving. I got nearly 33 mpg on a rode trip from north Carolina to Texas with the cruise set at 75.

Re: MPGs

Hey, I had the same numbers when I bought my baby('02 used). I put in some of those cleaner additives and it actually helped, much to my surprise. I also have a CAI now, no tune, and i'm averaging at about 19-22 on average combined. So you could try to do a fuel injector cleaners and see if it helps you. Much cheaper than a CAI and tune.

I don't believe a CAI and tune will ever help your MPGs. If anything, it'll hurt as you put your foot into it even more

My 95 GT gets 20-22 highway on all three tunes, with CAI, o/r exhaust, and MSD ignition mods. When I had the chip out for about a month 18 was the best I got. I rarely beat on my car too..
Oh I've got an auto and 3.27's out back, and it's loaded minus a disk changer.
