E85

Be been looking to switching my 2011 v6 to e85. I heard of pretty good results. Has anyone done it or know all that's needed to do it?

Re: E85

The mustang cannot run on E85. It will gum up your engine if you want better milage put no ethanolfuel in your car or add a can of seafoam to your full tank

E85 conversion can be done, but it is pretty cutting edge and VERY expensive to do it. Generally speaking, ethanol reduces mileage, especially if the engine isn't tuned for it.

You would have to change injectors, fuel pump and the tune at the very least to run e85. Fuel economy goes out the window and there aren't that many gas stations that carry it.

Any gas can gum up your fuel system if it sits long enough.

Thanks guys I'm talking to some tuners now and their saying all I would have to get would be injectors 55+ and get a tune. I should be looking at 800 dollars for a 11% increase in power. Not to bad considering i need a good tune anyways. And yes gas mileage will go down but e85 is also about a buck cheaper per gallon.
