The reason it does that is because the sync line in is the primary mode for playing from external source (iPhone/iPod/etc). Bluetooth audio is a secondary function. The radio gets power instantly when the key is turned on. It takes the Bluetooth a second or two to sync. Since its not sync, it reverts to primary function, or sync line in.

Nahh its easy. I syncd up my phone and everythings been effortless. Its nice to just press a button and say call this person and it actually understands you.

Im putting music on a zune now (i hate apple and ipods) ill see how well that works with the system. Id love to find a 250gb zune (last ones made)

Bluetooth audio sync is wonderful...just sucks you have to switch to it evrytime you start the car

The UCONNECT in my 2012 jeep wrangler operates a little smoother than my sync. It allows me to prioritize connected phones and will stay on bluetooth audio streaming. But the voice recognition is awesome on both.

Re: Sync and bluetooth audio...

got bluetooth on my corolla...and like you, I enjoy being able to tell it to call someone. My Boss hates it cause im the one at the fire station that is usually ahead of the curve on new technology. Just didnt want to travel and get busted for cell phone use in other states where its illegal...LOL! Gonna have fun with the audible texting feature im sure.
