I wonder how noticeable the gap would be on a Kona Blue. Love how they look on your black one though.

Probably not too bad... On such a dark color in sure not many people would notice, especially next to such good looking tail lights!

Idk, I couldn't live with a gap like that. Looks noticeable to me. From what I hear they're making a replica kit that would cost much less so I'd wait for that if anything

Sorry if we are being a pain, but if it's not too much trouble can we get a close up shot that is level with the bottom edge of the lights? Something close like this one but from a little bit lower.

Thank you again!

I love the car!!!!!!!! If it were me, I'd do the 2013 bumper since stuff like that drives me crazy.

Have you entered any shows yet?

Re: 2013's

So maybe I missed it.

Where is the link for the lights to purchase?
I would like to see a side by side shot of the stock lights and the 2013 lights to show the gap.
How bad is the gap?

Re: 2013's

After removing one of the tall lights a week ago and seeing whats behind the top edge of the bumper (nothing btw), I won't be considering this mod any longer. 99.9% of others may never even notice the gap, but I will know it's there and it will bug the @#$% out of me.

I like a lot of different parts from a lot of different vehicles, but if i tried to put them all on my Stang, it would look like Frankenstein's monster. I like the lights that come on the 2010-2012 and will only consider smoking/tinting them.

Its not just the gt's with it. It's the v6 premium package and up, it is an additional option that will set you back a couple hundred.

I think swapping to the 2013 tail lights might create some problems with vehicle inspection and DOT on our '10-'12 mustangs.

You see the '13 bumper has a reflector and the '10-'12 does not. The '13 tail lights have no red reflection thus making them just as illegal as blackouts on our '10-'12's. I might be wrong and cops might not give a **** but it's just a heads up.

Re: 2013's

That's a good point and before anyone chimes in with "screw dem, I likz how it lookz", think of the possibility of getting rear ended.

Re: 2013's

good catch! I'd like to see what the aftermarket does with this if they try to replicate.

So the 13's have 4 reflectors now on the rear, I know their purpose but it ruins the art of the car and its lines. Tinting them doesnt help either, they still are there.

Damn, that sucks ***...That's so that Ford gets you to buy an entire rear end. Why they had to change the entire rear end just for those lights. Damn them...Good catch.

Re: 2013's

Sorry for being MIA for a bit. I am in the process of moving.

Anyways, here is a straight on rear photo.

As for reflectors, I already knew about that issue, so I added some into my lower fascia for legal reasons. These photos are at night with a flash, so you can see that the taillamps have no reflective effect in them.

Sorry if the car is a bit dusty, it has been in the garage the last week as it has been rainy here.

I like it! Where did you get the taillights at? and random I know but where did you get that deckled panel at with the laguna seca badge? Great job on the overall car though!

Re: 2013's

Thanks everyone! The decklid panel is from Cervini...as are the side scoops. I purchased the Laguna cap from Ford then had to remove the satin silver section for mounting on the panel. The taillights were an eBay find. I paid $800 for them, but it's cheaper than a new car, and it really changed the rear.

I love the 2013 Boss 302, and I would have considered one if Ford would make the Shaker Radio and Leather available. I don't like that it is a Deluxe Mustang instead of a premium. I know it's a track car, but at least make the better radio and leather an option.

That reflector placement looks good. I noticed the third brake light is slightly reflective. I wonder if that would be good enough to pass inspection?
