Manual or auto? I have seen on here that the manual has has some issues. The auto seems to be pretty solid. No issues with mine.

Re: Tranny problem?

If you search youtube you will see numerous vids about 2011+ manuals with issues. Seems like the faulty ones will sometimes have issues engaging or staying in certain gears. It seems like ford blamed it on customer abuse, its been a few months since ive heard any major stories about this. I spent a year contemplating buying this car for that reason, because i really didnt want an auto. I bought one of the last 2012s so hopefully my 6spd manual wont have issues.

You in Canada?
The gears don't want to engage when down shifting to first or up shifting into 2nd 3rd and 5th and every once in a while it won't disengage out of 6th

Re: Tranny problem?

Oh! Stopped completely! No not cool. I know i cant move the shifter into first if im rolling to a stop with clutch in....safety thing im sure. I went to three dealers when pricing out my car...none "knew" about this problem. Ya right. Hopefully you get warranty service. Itd be nice to have a recall and something fixed/preventative. Itd make me feel alot better about my purchase. I hope there is a recall in the future.

Actually, the manual says exactly that for break-in.
