Slave cyclinder

I just bought a '10 V6 , and the clutch pedal seems very stiff, is that normal or could it be a bad slave cylinder? thanks ///

How many miles on it? I had to replace master and slave cylinders in my Honda about a decade ago, and I don't recall it being stiff. In fact, it was loose as hell, IIRC.

Can you not get it to shift? Also, how far do you have to depress it to actually disengage?

Re: Slave cyclinder

The car has 29000 miles on it, I bought it as a certified used car, I thought the clutch was stiff but the salesman told me it was normal. now after talking to and driving other stangs, I think the pedal pressure is very stiff and I am not sure if it is spring tension or slave cylinder or what. Thanks,

So, if it was certified used, you'd have a warranty on it, right? I would take it back to that dealership if you can. If not, take it to a different Ford dealership so they can corroborate or allay any concerns.

That's what I would do.
