Camaro vs Mustang (non-performance)

So what are the benefits we have over the Camaro and what does the Camaro have over us non-performance wise? I know the Camaro seats blow ours out of the water for comfort but our visibility tops it by a mile. Also Camaro has sat radio stock and leather covering the dash and we have a nicer quality center console. Anyone driven both? If so how are both cars compared in a comfort aspect? Like if you were able to rent one or the other to travel from Seattle to Miami which would you pick? Even though most of us if not all own mustangs lets try to not be biased. Never driven a maro but sat in one and man they are comfy!

I think the Camoros are nice. But they seem like everything is just lower quality about them. Both the interior and exterior just seemed cheaper to me. And I've sat in a Camaro but don't remember how comfortable they were. But with the 13 coming out with Recaro's I think we'd have the win with seats. I'd like to get some of those Recaro's for my 12. With some grabber blue stitching would be awesome!

Re: Camaro vs Mustang (non-performance)

I drove a V6 Camaro when they were new and hard to find. It was the base base model LS1? It was like driving a tank -- narrow windows, low roof. The interior sucked. Radio controls looked terrible.

But I thought it looked cool as hell.

Can't remember the driving impressions too well other than poor visibility because I was babying it with the salesperson. I still like the way the Camaro looks and would've bought one before Ford stepped it up with the 2011+ models.

Chevy stepped up the interior in 2012 though. The dash is all leather

Re: Camaro vs Mustang (non-performance)

I hate the camaro interior, it just doesnt make sense and isnt functional. The interior is what made me scratch it off my list instantly. The new stang interior was probably my biggest deciding factor in getting this car. Note that number two on my list was a lexus is250......

Same here, the interior was a huge factor! Our interior is really nice. A huge step up from my 04...

Haven't seen the new Camaro interior either. It's a shame it looked so bad since the exterior looks great, IMO. 2009 and earlier Stangs looked dreadful too. 2010 fixed the interior, and 2011 fixed the power. Now the 2013s have paddle shifters??? Love the improvements!

I have driven both long distances and let me tell you the Camaro seats are comfortable to start but as the trip goes one you start to feel the springs under your ***! My new Stang may not be the most ergonomic seat out there... but it keeps its shape!

+1 can't speak against camaros but I know that my mustang seats are awesome. Drove 14 hrs 2 diff times within a week (14 hrs each way to and from Florida) and they stayed comfortable

Yes, Camaros do. Apparently Ford has them on the shifter now? I swear I saw pics on Ford's website a few months ago with paddles. No worries...same concept.

I live in Louisiana and drive my '12 Mustang to Indiana and back and let me tell you the seats were comfortable the whole time. A friend of mine has a Maro and she drove hers to Tennessee and she hated the seats

Google an image of the 2012 camaro interior youll see the leather dash. Its standard too. But thats good to hear about our seats on long trips. I still have to say though thats one thing i miss about my 09 rabbit (got totaled then got this 12 stang) its seats were the most comfy seats in a car i have ever sat in. But besides that the mustang blows the vdub out of the water! Lol

Re: Camaro vs Mustang (non-performance)

Ford never ended production of the stang, that alone is huge.

Cool shadow....black edition? Lol isnt that amg mercedes :p it looks like you have the mca...mustang club of america edition. You live in europe, and in an area prone to lots of snow and ice, you dont have a dealer that sells the car, and yet you imported a mustang....you sir, are awesome.

Yeah I love vw besides Ford they are my fav auto maker. They really know how to make a car. Maybe not the fastest car but all in all my rabbit was awesome. Expecially for long trips. New car wise if it aint a vw golf/rabbit or a mustang or F series truck, i dont want it. Well, i might take a challenger but other than that lol

The Stig, maybe.
I knew it is an MCA edition, but I thought just of it maybe because it is all black.
And yes I live in a country well known of cold and snowy winters, but for that I use my older car. So if you appreciate something like Mustangs U don't mind of anything else. Am I right?

The camaro is pretty ugly. Gotta love the challenger though. I bought a mustang because its always been my fav car and it out performs the competition in everyway. Plus I got 0 percent and a good deal. But if i actually had the money to buy two new cars lol i would go with a challenger as choice number two. Even though i hate hate HATE Chrysler the challenger just seems like it would be an awesome crusier. Its big comfy and semi powerful so it would be good as a dd. Mustang tops all though of course. Lol

How's this for a perfect combo??? Got the best of both worlds. FYI.....I can't stand camaros! And even if I had all the money in the world, I'd still buy ford! Saleen mustang, ac cobra, ford gt !! Wouldn't even bother with that euro-trash. Lol

That's true! Don't get me wrong, I love all cars. From jaguars to vw's and even some mopars. But for a small budget, vw is a great option. Quick and great handling! I might actually end up buying a 2002 golf for my wife soon....
