My First Mustang

Hey just wanted to share that my 2012 V6 Candy Red Mustang is my very first Mustang. I have always wanted one and even though it is not a GT, I am not at the very least disappointed. I love it. The only upgrade, if any was that I changed the factory mufflers for some Magnaflo Bullets, I don't know much about cars so I hope that was a good idea.

Re: My First Mustang

Congratulations! It must be a great feeling for you to have it in your garage finally. I also loved mustangs for the longest time and i finally bought my first this year great choice on the colour it looks great with the black side stripes. As for the muffler many people on here have upgraded. We are all on the fence if it affects warranty. It does show in my warranty that "low restriction exhausts" will void warranty IF they are the cause of a failure in the engine. It really doesnt seem logical to me that it could happen. If anything your exhaust helps the engine since exhaust flow is increased....but ford could use it to their advantage.

If anything is ever denied fight it since its just an exhaust (and an axleback i assume too) knock on wood your car never has issues though! Is it auto or manual?

Welcome to the forums

Congratulations, I couldn't even dare to think of Mustangs some time ago.
But lately, not 2 months ago I got one myself, a V6 as well Black Edition.
Even that it is hard in Switzerland to get one, because there is no direct Ford USA Official importer.
So I had to hire a company and get one privately imported.

Nice I like the skeleton pony emblem. It's a nice little touch

Re: My First Mustang

Congrats! My first Mustang was a candy v6, but yours is surely faster. A v6 isn't inferior, just different, so enjoy it!

Re: My First Mustang

The Monte was actually the FIRST car that I've ever owned and I bought it at age 48. The new GF didn't want to go "out" in my '94 Chevy K1500 step side. So I bought the car, had it for 4 years but couldn't stand the front wheel drive, especially in the snow. Now I got the Mustang and it doesn't even SEE the snow, I just picked up a pickup 2011 F350 diesel 4x4 w/plow. It has the Lariat package so at least it's comfortable when we go out in the cold.
