2011 v6 mustang exhaust

Well hi everyone. I'm totally new in here. I mean my mustang is my very first car and I have a question about the exhaust. Well I wanna change my exhaust to roush or borla atak which I haven't decided to change which and I am going to buy one from American muscle .com next week and go to a body shop to ask someone to help me change it. The question is, do I need to buy anything else beside the axle? Cause I see there are a lot of exhaust type on american muscle. Com and I don't know which one do I need to buy. Help me out please ))! And do you guys have any suggestions of which exhaust should I buy? I'm looking for some aggressive one. LOL. THANKS AGAIN!! And forgive me if I've some grammar mistakes or something like that. I'm not an native English speaker lol

Hey, post up some pics of your car! You only need the axle-backs. I've got magnaflow which I love but I've never heard any other exhaust in person on our sixers. You couldn't go wrong with borla though. Good luck with it!

OK i know I'm going to get some hateful comments on this one.... oh well! Delete those bad boys! I took of the mufflers on my '12 and $20 worth of exhaust hangers from auto zone bolted up to the stock mounting holes and you got yourself an open exhaust turn down! It is quiet at normal driving then it will wake the dead when you get on it! Only thing I hate is that there are no pipes coming out of the great bumper... so I'm having the muffler shop in town build me a set of fake tips that I will mount in the bracket holes so it looks like tailpipes. This is a very easy job, all you need is a ratchet set, and an hour and a half! I swear on my mother's future grave that I did this myself, without a jack, in autozone's parking lot!

Both are nice but I slightly prefer the GT500 style

I've watched a lot of youtube videos of 2011+ Mustang exhausts and think that the borlas are all too raspy and pop way to much whent he throttle is let off. From what I've seen the magnaflow street series makes the v6 sound deep and authoritive with no popping. Here is just one video of many for the magnaflow.

I've got magnaflow competitions and there's no rasp or popping. It's loud. Probably louder then the street series, not sure what your looking for. They also drone which I personally like. I love to listen to my car. I'm sure the street series sound similar just not as loud and maybe less drone?

+1 Roush sounds the absolute best by far. And they are cheaper than other brands like borla and magnaflow where you are just paying out the patuti for the name.

I say my magnaflow sound best And they aren't that much more then roush and definitely more unique. That being said, don't buy the same as me. I want to be the only one

Re: 2011 v6 mustang exhaust

Has anybody at all mentioned putting a ProChamber fabed inline after the headers and cats but before the twin Borlas or Magnaflows? The brand new V6's sound to my ears that the deffinately would react great to a ProChamber placed in-line Anyone agree? Anyone ever heard or seen one yet? YouTube?
This is my old fashioned V6 with a fabricated & welded in ProChamber I have in place. It removed the poping and trumpet horn sound, no drone either....

Re: 2011 v6 mustang exhaust

The new V6's are beautiful cars with great power. Adding a ProChamber will add horsepower and give it the perfect tone. I know that someone out there is going to do it and it's going to catch on & perform and sound great. I just can't wait to see it done! I don't know where to look to hear one. Stainless Works makes a great muffler for the V6 also. Should give that a listen to. Good luck & have fun with the exhaust. Awesome cars!

Also, if you have a nag for details like me, make sure the tip isn't too small or too big for the bumper cut out. I would personally go with magnaflow. They give a nice deep tone and it sounds like a GT. I heard them on a used 2011 and been in love since. But at American muscle they are almost 600 just for axle backs.
