I wouldn't buy cheap HID's. You get what you pay for with those. Best to get some from someone reputable. But that's a good price on the dome and license plate lights.

sometimes they can remain on even after power is off, park in a dark garage etc and see if yours do that~

Yep. I put an aftermarket hid kit for my qx4 in 2008...to this day ive changed 6 bulbs and 3 ballasts. They suck. Fyi 90 percent of those kits are made in the same factory in china with different packaging. I was on a website a few years ago where you can buy kits in wholesale to resell and you can pick your style of packaging.

They also put out tons of glare....you need a true retrofit for hid bulbs not the stock housing. And they really suck at night in the rain. And you will constantly annoy other drivers.

This mess is why i opted for the hid package in my stang....it was worth it...makes my stang look much different than the majority of new stangs i see on the road without them. Everyone says something looks different they just cant tell what that is...its those amazing looking light housings. And night time visibility is incredible.

I prefer the turn signals on the halogen setups. If only they outfitted those with HID's from the factory. Nicer imo

It was a factory option "Safety and security package"

$900 here in Canada....hid, wheel locks, some sort of immobilizer alarm with gps tracking. Your really paying for the oem hid setup.

Re: LEDs

So would red here in the states, blue is reserved for Volunteer Firefighters (I am one of them) and its my right and privilege to use them as I respond to fires, so when I see them as ornamental lighting, i get peeved too.

Re: LEDs

Im actually on the other coast, but will try to do most of the leg work myself. Probably just a couple Qs on how you did certain stuff. Would like to tie in underglow and a few other lights to the alarm, with an on/off switch. Thanks!
