new mods!

Hey guys I've been promising some of you that I would get these pictures posted... I'm finally getting to that! New factory Cobra R rims, Airaid CAI, SCT Bama tuner, and the blackout kit on the rear... now I desperately need to tint my windows, get some type of graphic on the side to break up the blue, (suggestions are welcome I can't think of anything and I hate rocker stripes) then its time to work on the crappy base interior!

I'd say for your next step get window louvers.

I say, gloss black roof vinyl. I'd prefer matte black but seeing how your blackouts are shiny you should go with gloss. Or get the BOSS/C/S rear valance. Since you don't want my stock GT valance. :/ lol.

Nice man. How well does the light shine through the covers? Particularly in the daylight? They look soooo dark lol. And you must drive like grandma to get 40mpg's average. Think mine is 24ish? But when I take out the stang, I don't drive it to be economical. That's why I have my versa. Anyways, good on ya though!

Yeah, I get 40 if I coast on the hwy, but then again I have 3.73s...

That's pretty darn good I'd say then. I need to get some gears.. So many things to buy and not enough money to buy them.. I need another deployment and soon!

Re: new mods!

Very nice! I like how you kept a good profile on those wheels it matches the design well. I also like how you left it spoilerless, it looks clean. Side window louvers might clash with the no spoiler look, maybe keep it simple. Tint for sure!

How's the bama tune? Which one are you running? Very noticeable improvement over stock?

I was worried about the brightness too... but it is fine! I can see them just great! And I drive economically most of the time... but I bought a mustang for a reason too! Lol

Again, that is COASTING, not cruising I was working it last weekend to where I was averaging around 26-27 on the highway at about 60MPH, which is right at 2k RPMs for me with 3.73s. Get in the city and go stoplight to stoplight, and it goes to hell.

The wheels look nice! Definitely not Cobra R's though.. I like the taillight covers and blackout panel. Any Mustang from 99+ looks awesome with that set up.

Look all I'm saying is that my average MPG computer after 200 miles said I was getting 40.2 mpg

---------- Post added at 06:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:44 PM ----------

I also have taken the mufflers off so it can breath... the CAI is allowing it to take in more air. And each engine is different! Maybe I just got an engine that happened to be more efficient!

I was driving on the highway the other day, and with my CAI, Magnaflow Comps, BAMA 87P tune, and 3.73 gears, I was getting over 27MPG. I was driving 60 mph so she was staying around 2k RPM, but I was getting that on the highway even with all of my mods. I don't doubt you could get that kind of mileage with stock gears. It's just not real word mileage if it requires any stopping and restarting

I like them, but they are "always on" so you have to get used to that. At idle, it's got a deep gurgle, and when you get on it, it sounds like a hellcat.

They only cost me $200 and look/sound great, but I would've been fine with something else too on sale

You have to come to our next meet up, I want to hear them. Lol.

Anyway Fulton get tinted windows you won't regret it. I love my tint. I'm at 20% but anywhere between 35 and 20 is nice. Cost wise $150 at a good shop.

That is the next thing on the list... I've been putting it off b/c i don't like the 35% law here in Missouri. But I'm defiantly blacking out the rear windows
