Need exhaust opinions

Hey everybody, I need some help. I got a 2010 v6 stang and I really want to change the exhaust to get a deeper more muscle car sound. I looking at 2 exhausts right now. Need help deciding. Should I get the pypes stree-pro axle back exhaust or the flowmaster American thunder axle back exhaust. All opinions are welcome! Thanks

I just got some flowmasters put on my 2011. They made the car asound a lot deeper and louder. If you go to your local muffler shop they can help you make a decision and can probably get you the parts cheaper than buying online.

I'd go magnaflow catback with some x-pipe. On the 4.0 it's one of the best I've heard on that car. Got magnaflow on my 3.7 and love em!

What did you do with your stock exhaust after you got your new 1 installed?

So I'm not trying to hijack the thread just had a question... Are you saying have the muffler shop do a custom x-pipe dual conversion and then just buy a dual cat back magnaflow exhaust? Because I have a 4.0 2010 v6 as well and have been looking at conversion kits and wanted to do an x-pipe. I love the sound from most all the magnaflow.... Had them on my '99 mustang.... But all I could find was a y-pipehttp://www.americanmuscle.com/magnaf...ust-2005.html#. Aging not trying to hijack the thread just wanted clarity because I was having the same dilemma.

Yeah you can go to a shop and have them fab up something. I'm sure there's other x-pipes out there though that you can get online. Either way is good.

Ew.....on a v6 go with a custom h pipe so it's not annoying sounding that's what I did and it makes the sound deeper and a guy with a SS Camaro mistook it for a loud gt

I haven't really give the H-pipe much thought but I oils more than likely have to have them custom fab somethig due to the 2010 v6 single exhaust.. I personally haven't found many "conversion kits" that involve and x or an h pipe...

Off road pipe with some Mac mufflers! That's what I ran on my six before I cut it all up to sell it.

Borla s-type are the best sounding exhaust. No tuner sound just deep roar.

My 12 has an X (factory) with magnaflow and sounds amazing! Very deep down low and while cruising and screams like an exotic up high. Get compliments all the time from GT guys/others. I plan on going o/r X very soon and then she's really going to scream!! It's all personal preference really. That being said the new 3.7 is a whole different animal compared to previous gen 6ers. And I'd say your right, the H on the 4.0 would probably sound best. They don't rev as high as mine.

What's a good sounding system for the 3.7 ? I'm clueless as well . And is there any performance gain ?

If you read my previous post... Magnaflow imo. Borla, roush and flowmasters are some other popular choices and I'm sure sound just as good. I still want to hear some other setups in person.. With just axle-backs you won't see any performance gain. Only way you'll see gains is with an off road mid-pipe or headers.

Get a off road h pipe ull get a even deeper and better toned sound I've heard the new v6 and it's more high pitched and whinny then the 4.0 due to being smaller and more valves so really h pipe unless u want it to sound weird

2013 mustang has a x pipe I think. It is not a standard x looks like a slight h pipe in the middle. Is it worth buying a true h pipe for a better sound.

The 13 is already trial dual no need for an h pipe unless it's off road then maybe

Re: Need exhaust opinions

Any comments on the ATAK ? I am planning on getting just the Axle backs for my 2012 v6.

Any one out there with a V6 with just an ATAK axle back installed?
How much did the installation cost you ?
