Well, 24th came and went. Now eta is the 31st. If it arrives then, it will be 16 weeks. Seriously thought about one in stock at another dealer. They had almost identical one nearby, but no glass roof. Not sure how it can take 21 days to get here from MI. WARNInG to anyone thinking of ordering!

It's finally here. 16 weeks, but worth the wait.

Yep, first task is a front plate bracket. Wouldn't put it on the bumper. Too bad there are pre-set things. I'm not sure what's next????

Re: Current order wait time

Hello All Stang Fans Out There. Hey SharP, Unbelievable! 16 weeks is such an eternity to wait for a new Stang. Especially for that reason, It's your new Mustang and not just any new car. Well Congratulations and good luck man. I got my GT about 2 months ago and I am jealous already of your new White mustang. I guess it's a CS with the stripes on the side. Well she's beautiful. I wish I could order another one in white and have two.

Hey, about that Front Factory License Plate Bracket. I guess you did as I did and instructed the Dealer to NOT Install the bracket and drill holes in the preset dimples and rivet the bracket to the bumper (YIKES).

In case you are interested, there is a Website of some auto mechanic who devised a way to install the front license plate bracket under the bumper without drilling any holes at all and you have your complete bumper to show off. The bracket is mounted under the bumper in the lower grill area and it fits perfectly and in my opinion looks even better (If you must have it on in the first place) and stays on with no problems at all in the two months I installed it there. You can find the site which I stumbled onto by searching the internet. Look for "2013 Mustang front plate bracket install without drilling holes" and it should come up. He devised a way for the GT, Boss, Shelby and I think the CS also which has a different lower chin spoiler.
Hope it works for you, Good luck!
That is unless you have you mind on that (Craig) under the bumper flip up Manually/Electrically aftermarket install. That's cool, but I was afraid of the bottom clearance with speed bumps and those pesky parking lot curb bumpers. Also I read of some people on the forums whose (Craig) flip up brackets keep getting loose and have to be vigilant about getting under the car and checking/retightening those brackets. If you ever do hit that bracket you will I believe do extensive damage to you front bumper area and of course be without bracket. Again Good Luck on your new beauty.
PS- I hit a piece of a truck tire laying on the highway and had to repair and paint the front bumper ($783) and took the opportunity to make those factory license plate dimples/holes disappear and the bumper came out great, thank you lord. Take care You all.

I ordered my 2013 v6 Premium MCA edditon with lots of extras in May, and got it almost exactly 6 weeks later. So, I think it really depends on what options you get, some are more in supply, and some take longer to make, or get.

Dealer said it was my glass roof. They need 100 or so, before they run through a special line. As far as he was concerned, it probably was a good thing. He said it probably went through with some Boss orders, and as such, might have had more oversight.

Glass roof is awesome!

Mustang Week may be over, but the American Muscle Mustang show is this Sunday the 12th in Media, PA with a rain date of the 19th...that's closer for you than SC anyhow, just sayin! They already have 1,000 pre-registered. Pre-registration is over, but if you get there early you can still register and get a spot in the show.

I was thinking about getting a glass roof but wasn't sure exactly what it was. One dealer I talked with says it is removable, and you just clip it on. That's what turned me away. Is it really like that? Or is just like a normal coupe, with a glass roof. Also, can you pull a visor over it from inside to block it?

Re: Current order wait time

It's literally a glass roof, with a sun shade you pull to cover it inside. You cannot remove it, it's part of the car. No chance for leaks or anything like that. About double what the cost should be though, imo.

Re: Current order wait time

the glass roof option is very cool but expensive. I think it was 2 grand right? It also adds a considerable amount of weight to the vehicle. Very cool though. If I found a deal on a car with one I would have had to have it.

Somehow a rock will find its way there. That's why I passed on a 09 GT with it.

That's exactly right, the glass roof looks really cool the first few months, but as soon as its out of warranty, and you get rocks or hail up there, it becomes a nightmare.
