Mustang Mods

I'm sure this thread has been done many times before. I am looking at installing a few bolt on thing like an airaid cai, borla atak axle back, and a bama tune. I know that doing this will most likely void a warranty if my dealership decides to. I was just curious if any one is from MA and has any experience with Herb Chambers Ford with their modded mustang?

Here's a tip... save the $700 from the Borla atak and just remove the stock mufflers and then use $5 hangers from auto zone to hold the over-the-axel pipes up. It sounds mean! But at idle it is super quiet. Hardly any drone at speed and I took it to a muffler shop and they told me that it was far enough away from the cabin that I shouldn't have any fumes coming into the cabin! Then I had them tack up some stainless tips into the empty holes in the fascia so it would look good again! I also think this is the key on how I get 34-35 MPG combined!

I did try this last weekend and as cool as it sounds it was a bit too much for me I am thinking that the borlas will take down the volume just enough to keep my neighbors happy when I am always in and out in the middle of the night. Though after taking those off I did wonder if the weight difference with out them might even make a difference in mpg. They are way heavier than I expected.

Go with Borla Touring then. It's deep and pretty quiet when it needs to be.

Cool I'll have to check out the touring before I place my order either today or tomorrow from AM.

Re: Mustang Mods

sigh...i like your conversion Fulton....but not gonna jinx warranty. I'm gonna have the dealer install my flowmaster axle backs as they will bless them under warranty.
