Time to update my avatar...

Here's my newest mod- darkened the chrome on my Pony Package grille. Debated this for a little while, especially with the new dark chrome headlights. Figured I'd go for it because if I didn't like it I would just buy the MCA grille I've been eyeing.

Opinions?

Thanks. No it's something from Dupli-whatever that's meant for chrome parts. Basically darkens the chrome but maintains a shine.

It comes with a clear coat as well so that should help, but I have the same reservations.

I like it i bet pics dont do it justice. I dont like the matte look of plastidip so you did something tasteful. Nice work

They actually don't. I've been trying to take a good pic of it for three days now! It comes out a little darker in pics. Thanks for the compliment.

I've been thinking of doing the dash chrome as well, but I'll probably need a lot of encouragement before I take the chance.

Well this would just be the chrome parts, not the brushed aluminum. I have thought about dash kits as well but I've been apprehensive about the thickness and how it might show that. What I'd love is too find a GT500 or BOSS dash kit for cheap but even those notate the model, so it might be lame.

Re: Time to update my avatar...

true...both do state on there where they are from. or perhaps a wrecked 2010-12 in local junkyard...those with rear impact that wont have deployed the pass airbag....could be cheaper there as well....

I've never really done much with trying to get salvaged parts but I've always felt I'm missing the boat. An awesome boat.

If I can get my hands on some 2013 HIDs (and manage to get a working installation), I'll be doing that with these GT headlights possibly.
