I installed my TB spacer a week ago and have filled up 3 times now and have seen a consistent 2.5-3 mpg GAIN.. No there was no performance gain that I could tell.. And mine does whistle.. Kinda annoying but if you keep your foot out of it you don't here it.. And ik it's from that because I had a cai before.. I am pleased with the spacer.. In 7 months I've put on 15k miles.. I did the math it's saving me 1.8 gallons every gass tank. 14 gal and I'm getting and extra 45miles 14x3.. So I'm saving at least 10$ a week it will pay for it self in no time..

No you don't feel it but the dyno shows it and sorry I should of been year specific. My 96 3.8 would keep up with a 2000 body mustang gt

Unless you have done engine mods you don't have much of a chance

I have Michelin defender tires, reset my PCM for the automatic transmission, and I want to get good gas mileage in general. I have previous generation GT power. But a tuner and cai and I'll be fine. Everything else I want to do is in hope to save money.

Yes 2011. I had an 02 v6 manual. I get GT power, gas mileage and the retro styling I was waiting for since 2010.

I seen the number and magazine on the new v6 they can be fast cheap and easy. The 02 you had was a manual which is better but I rather have a v8. I love my v6 but these old cars are not ment to be fast or great

Agreed. But I was about to purchase a 07 GT(2009) and I heard of the new engine lineup ford had, do I waited and couldn't be happier. The 02 was a good car to learn to drive on. No safety stuff much less a good seat belt so I know how to drive a car very well because of it.

Let's face it guys, old mustangs are fast. But there was that grey area were they just kinda slapped an engine in and cared about the body more. With the new engine it was for right. The proof in the v6 is faster than a later GT is plain as day but they have a little but more torque so anything over a 1/4 the v6 loses. That and we have cheaper parts like a two piece drive shaft that snaps over 135mph. Anyway my 02 v6 manual was fast...I was 16 and To a novice driver on the road it felt fast. I saw all my friends get camaros and GTs and know what, the totalled them because it was too much power. I played it smart and I have a "boss 227" they have a vibe or focus.
