I thought it said GT in between the bars and the plate just covered it. So if you water jet the plate you will see your custom design and the GT logo. Unless I'm thinking of a different stb.

There are two separate plates, a blank one and one that has GT cut into it.

I was thinking that, but I just dropped a good chunk of change on struts/shocks and springs. I won't be doing much until my bank account recovers from the hit it took haha.

I would be interested to hear if anyone who has a STB, has taken them off and felt the difference. I ordered the 2014 GT Premium, and was unsure about its functionality. Sure is purtty, though...

Thanks for letting me know Sarge, I assume you got the V6 premium. I was debating on getting the V6 premium and the performance package or not. I read somewhere that the strut towers make a difference on the 19" wheels more than on 17" or 18". Is yours a convertible?

It's a regular coupe, 19 inch wheels..I would think it would make a difference no matter what the wheel size. That's my uneducated opinion though. I guess the bigger wheel/tire could benefit more from the brace, but I can't see where you would not see a gain with 17's or 18's. I may try taking it off and seeing how much of a difference it does make.

In normal driving it doesn't do much of anything.

But it sure looks good when you pop the hood open.
