Shoot, it looks so badass, I would still get it even if there were no actual benefits. I've got the Steeda V6 STB on my GT. I love how industrial Steeda makes theres look.
Do you have to jack up the car or is it safe to just do it on the ground? It looks like you just unbolt two bolts per side. Do you guys know the torque recommended when putting the bolts back on??

Easy install, I did not torque the nuts when I put them back on. I just made sure they were nice and tight. My hood mat already had a nice indentation from the factory to allow room for the strut bar. The strut bar has arrows to make sure you put it on with them facing the front of the car. I will pick up some new locking nuts the next time I'm out. I don't think there is anything wrong with using the old nuts but I personally would prefer new ones.
I like the way they look to be honest but I guess it provides upper stability,

I would torque them if I new what specs they were to be tightened to. I have two good click type torque wrenches to cover all speck. I just put the nuts on and made certain they were nice and tight without stripping the threads.
I'll get some new locking nuts next week and I'm sure they will be fine without having to torque them as long as they are as tight as the ones I did not remove.
All 05+ STB's fit our cars? Found someone selling one off his 07? GT for like $40. Sounds great to me and I'm pretty sure it'll fit but maybe someone knows better? Here's a pic of it.
I bought the fat Boss style brace too. It cornered much much MUCH better. You notice it a ton on windy roads and especially on on and off-ramps. It's pretty as well, especially if you have the aero-shield engine conver to go with it.
I have my stock one for sale had to drop 325 bucks to fit. Still have my stock one if anyone wants it. It's the one in the last photo. Think it does say gt on it

I didn't see any pics of your painted strut tower brace?
