Doesn't seem to matter to most, but a staggered set-up can have some adverse effects on handling. It breeds under steer, especially in a fast decreasing radius turn.

Re: Nova Wheels

I love a staggered wheels fitment. Just like my sports cars need to be 2 door. I just prefer staggered wheels as-well.

Re: Nova Wheels

UM.....keep in mind, unless you like replacing tires every 30K or less...I'd get a matching set up...same size front and rear. You cant Rotate them...like a matched set. I'd rather have a match and get 50K out of a set of expensive rubber than less...IMO...just saying....
Thats why I'd have to mod a boss or GT500 to match all around and get the dealer to reset the abs and traction via compute for the change....

---------- Post added at 01:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:32 PM ----------

BUT...your choice of wheels is awesome!

Wrong. Front tires on my cobra have over 50k on them and have never been rotated.

It's more about suspension setup and how you drive.

Plus, most of us eat through rear tires much quicker and tend to run a softer compound on the rear.

Re: Nova Wheels

perhaps where your at....
BUT Staggered Stangs, Camaros, and Vettes down here...especially ones I know cant keep a good set intact for longer than 25K....and they hate it. A buddy of mine put a matched ZR-1 wheels on his 94 vette and went 65k on a set of Kuhmos.
Hate to see the flare you have on you font tires......BUT like I said..IMO....but the proof is running around the beach hee.....

---------- Post added at 02:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:56 PM ----------

it also depends on road conditions.....our roads suck. These folks I know drive like me, check tire pressure regularly, and buy good high rate tires (500 + rating) , and hate how long they get out of them....

Re: Nova Wheels

cyclone....just finished everything im gonna do to it....its back on the road from now thru mustang week. @828 when parked at the fire station yesterday morning. Its gonna ride...I just hate the price of replacing these pirelli P zeros...found the 245/45/19 pirelli zero nero (who names this crap..) with all season tread and 50K warranty. I'll be getting those when current set wears out...

Re: Nova Wheels

ive never been a fan of a rim that doesnt concave in a bit, when they are straight and flat it just looks odd to me but thats just my opinion

Everyone has their own preference. Nice wheels man. Please tell me how the hell you get 50k miles out of a tire?

Or you could always go the ghetto route and get some spacers. It gives you the staggered wheel look yet you can still rotate your tires. They're really easy to put on and only 150 bucks for a good set of H&r hubcentric spacers.
