3M Carbon Fiber Wrap

So I wrapped the dark grey portions of my interior with 3m carbon fiber. I plan to wrap the grey parts of my steering wheel, center ac vent surrounds and 12v plug cover. I have searched forums and the internet for instructions on how to get to these parts but can not find any.

Anyone know how to the upper dash comes apart? I need to get to the center upper portion above the radio. I appreciate any help.

I have the 05 v6, and to take it off u have to open your driver side door and pop it open with your finger tips (without breaking it) your whole speedometer side should come off, then u should be able to get to the other parts easily

I bought a roll from ebay. That stuff is a major pain in the arse to work with. It does not go around corners and if you heat it and stretch it, the pattern becomes distorted.

You will need to cut when the curve becomes too sharp. Cut and paste a new piece of cf wrap, matching up the pattern,. press down with your fingers until it is firmyl in plsce

Basically you are making your own pre-cut kit. This stuff is not shiny and has a tighter fit. The kit is glossy and is a couple of mm thick, also its like $200 for the where a roll is $30-$40.

Re: 3M Carbon Fiber Wrap

Yeah thats the same stuff I have, I got it to use on the front bumper apron (the plastic flares), it did not stick to them at all it has to be a semi smooth surface. They were very hard to conform to curves too. It is called 3d made by 3m, It has a nice matte finish with the texture into it, its very noticeable in the sun! I dont think ill take on the interior with it, it looks like a huge pain. You did a very good job

hey looks awsome, a for the upper dash start with the passenger side where the airbag is, open the glove box and tere should be a couple of bolts holding in the airbag, take them out and that whole setup should slide right out, from there its pretty easy, if theres a bolt take it out if not the panel just pops out, it took me a while to figure it all out myself lol
