Re: Chrome on dash?

you have to take the dash panels out first then the chrome stuff comes out by squeezing the hooks on the back together i did the same thing i blacked them out with a black chrome kit i got, so its still kinda shiny but its black

Re: Chrome on dash?

Ive been debating this same mod but a combination of slight laziness and apprehension have stopped me so far. I have a feeling your pics will change that. I did the chrome parts of my Pony Package grille but for some reason I can't go for it on the dash.

Okay, use some 600 grit sand paper those pieces. The primer, then paint.

When you want to paint over chrome you must primer first.

Well only the chrome ring comes off, so have to sand everything in the car, then tape and put up paper in the entire car. Doesn't include the dash panels I gotta try and pop out. Lol what an adventure today is gonna be.

I'm referring to all the Chrome, not just the dash. I'm using a plastic paint. Might change tho

I finished the chrome on the dash, looks good, just need time to put it back. Couldn't figure out how to put the chrome circles on the air vents this morning so have to do it this afternoon. SHOULD be done tonight. Then I'll post pictures.

Haha yes they are. Didn't realize they were in the pics. Paint looks a little orange, but it's actually red and very close to matching the car.

Re: Chrome on dash?

Syas, mind taking a pic from the driver's door and from the back seat so I can see more of the dash? I'm really liking that and may be tempted to copy it in GHIG for my interior...

Im impressed with those rings! Nice work. The automatic gearshifter looks like crap no matter what though, big hunk of plastic....stick shift for the win!
