Has anyone used the SYNC Gps? I never even got mine programmed at the dealer. I use Sync for my phone and tunes from the USB port in the armrest, but that's about it. That Sync lady scares me a little.

I use it and it isn't bad. The only issue I have is that sometimes she doesn't understand what I am saying for the address. It works a lot better if you are planning a trip to go to syncmyride.com and input the location, give it a name you can rememer easily, and then just ask her for that route.
It also will sometimes refer to expressways with different names. For example it will call I-94 on the east side of Detroit "M3" for some reason. It did the same thing to me in North Carolina and I had a heck of a time getting on the route because none of the signs had the road number that she gave me. Not a problem if you know the area, but a big problem when you are unfamiliar with the roads.
I believe that is for Operator Assist not the actual Sync Services. On my car I got 36 months complimentary Sync Service. In addition I got 60 complimentary Operator Assist sessions. The way this works is if you Sync cannot determine what location/business/etc you are trying to locate 3 times, I believe it patches you thru to a live operator.
That's right operator assist is different from sync.
But since sync works through your phone I don't know if there is a problem if you lose connection. Although when I use it for directions it downloads to the car so it likely disconnects once the directions download so that shouldn't be an issue now that I think it through. And I know I've used it in areas that my cell service is spotty.
