Need Help With Price

Hi, new to the forum. Looking into a mustang, 2013, v6, premium/pony package asking $26,900 as a price plus tt&l. For the ones who have been down this road, how does this price compare to your deal? Is this high or low? Thanks for any info.

Re: Need Help With Price

X-plan pricing on that car is around $25.6k before taxes, if it is in fact a Premium with just PP. That's a hair above invoice. What's your sales tax there? Add in destination, my sales tax (6%), and $100 tag fee we're looking at $27.9k. Take off the $1000 cash incentive and you're back to $26.9k... You're not quite getting invoice, but not getting ripped off either. If you can find a brochure (Mustang website), you have a chance to get $750 more off.

I got my premium V6 MCA Edition (+1,000 +/-) with the 3.31 (+$1,000 +/-) limited slip option for $26,500 walk out price. I put my work into the negotiations for 2 weeks though. The sticker was 29,900 I think. hold out for lower!

30,630 was grand total on 'Slimer'. That was premuim V6, MCA edition, Performance pkj, and comfort pkj....then got $500 off from Ford, and dealer knocked $500 off...basically 29,630 out the door....and ordered it new in February!

A good price check would be USAA's Car Buying Service (http://usaa2.zag.com/main.html?referrer_id=ZUSA200074), if the link does not work you can get there via USAA's main web site. The pricing there is pretty much the same as you get when you buy a car via the military's overseas car buying service, which by-the-way is how I purchased mine. Back when I ordered it in March there was a special running called Mustang Madness that gave me an additional $2500 off.

If you walk in off the street and price tge car the dealer is likely to f you. They can do better. The price actually fluctuates and is priced differently by region. Don't fear, there is a trick this. Search Ebay and Auto trader for a mustang with pony package and everything you are looking for. Guaranteed there is a dealership that is whoring one out at a super low price. Print that out and tell them you will buy the car from them right now, sign papers today if they match the sale price and dealer fee. Guaranteed you will get a couple thousand or more knocked off that $26900 price. You can even say, there are 5 Ford Dealers around here, what are you going to do for me? Sometimes you can get a free tint job etc out if them

My local dealer had a used 2013 v6 premium! It had like 1,200 miles and just because it had been used for a couple months they had a tag of $21k on it. It sold FAST tho.
